CFCO is proud to announce the installation of the Devine Liberty Swing in Cottleville’s Legacy Park!

The Liberty Swing is a state of the art playground swing that locks wheelchairs into place and allows children and adults with disabilities to swing without leaving their chair!

Installation of the Liberty Swing marks the 13th swing in the United States and the 2nd in the state of Missouri.

On Sunday, June 5th the CFCO Liberty Swing Committee dedicated the swing to, "Those limited in mobility, yet inspire us with bound-less spirit."

Utilization of the swing does require a special key. To request a key, individuals can call (636) 447-6655 or (636) 498-6565 during business hours or (636) 447-3989 or (636) 939-9966 after business hours. Legacy Park is located behind Cottleville City Hall off of Hwy. N

Announcement: The Grand Opening and Swing Dedication Ceremony is set for June 5th, 1:30 p.m.! Everyone is invited to join us at Legacy Park in Cottleville!

CFCO's Liberty Swing Project is in full swing! Step 1 of the Liberty Swing intallation is Cottleville's Legacy Park is complete. On Wednesday, 4/13, Jim Bacon Concrete poured the concrete slab and piers that will be the foundation for the Liberty Swing. Now set in concrete, the swing just needs to be fenced and given a soft playground surface before it can be used. The fence will be installed by the end of the month and the playground surfacing shortly thereafter. It won't be long and wheelchairs will be swinging high in the air. There will be a grand opening ceremony sometime in May. We will be announcing the date very soon.
